Gear Drop Table

18 covered Borderlands 4 boss drops

18 selected gear entries, not every item in the game. Filter by boss, rarity, element or type to see where an item drops, its region, the attributed drop rate and the sources behind it. Percentages are MentalMars’ published figures, not samples measured by BL4 Tools; the Subjugator and Thol pool comes from Gearbox’s announcement, which gives no per-item chance. Sources checked October 18, 2026.

WeaponRarityElementTypeDrops fromRegionDrop rateSources
Jail-Broken Gatling

Ripper

A Pearlescent Ripper SMG whose hits build a buff to damage, fire rate, recoil and the chance of extra projectiles.

What to check on your drop

Compare sustained hits as well as the first magazine, and watch whether increased recoil makes it harder to keep the buff-building hits on target. The official raid announcement gives no numerical per-item drop probability.

Buoy

Ripper

A Ripper grenade Ordnance item that places a floating contact mine a short distance ahead. Its limited placement range makes positioning part of using it.

What to check on your drop

Test the actual placement range before throwing it toward a distant boss. The source records a May 14, 2026 damage and charge buff, so do not copy the older four-charge sample card as a current universal value.

Collector

Order

An Order Energy Shield with high capacity and a fast recharge rate, balanced by a longer delay before recharging begins.

What to check on your drop

Compare recharge delay as well as capacity. A fast recharge rate is less helpful if incoming damage repeatedly prevents the recharge from starting.

Darkbeast

Daedalus

A corrosive Daedalus SMG with piercing shots and a chance to trigger an explosion on a hit. Licensed parts can add another element or change its firing behavior.

What to check on your drop

Line up targets to test piercing, then compare the secondary firing behavior shown on your card. The source identifies corrosive as its base element; do not assume every copy has the same additional element or parts.

Flak Cannon

Vladof

A Vladof heavy-weapon Ordnance drop from Subjugator and Thol, described by Gearbox as firing a dense volley of bullets.

What to check on your drop

Read the current Ordnance card for cooldown and damage at your level. Keep it separate from continuously available gun slots when comparing its role in a raid loadout.

Goalkeeper

Order

An Order assault rifle with a gun-shield interaction: depleting the gun shield grants a temporary damage bonus.

What to check on your drop

Check the actual shield-trigger text and duration on the current card. Keep that gun-shield condition separate from your character’s equipped shield when comparing a roll.

Inkling

Vladof

Bouncing shots leave elemental splats where they strike the surface. It is a heavy-weapon Ordnance drop from the Divisioner.

What to check on your drop

Compare bounce placement in open space and against nearby surfaces. Record the element and Ordnance cooldown on your own card; a single example card does not define every level or roll.

Jetsetter

Ripper

A Ripper heavy Ordnance weapon that launches bouncing disks. The disks detonate on enemy contact or after their bounce sequence.

What to check on your drop

Compare direct contact to a banked shot on the same target. Note the Ordnance cooldown and available ammunition on your current card before choosing it as a repeat-farm damage option.

Lockjaw

Torgue

A Torgue assault rifle with explosive projectiles that bounce between targets.

What to check on your drop

Compare a single target with a group that allows the bouncing behavior to matter. The official source confirms the raid pool and effect, not a guaranteed drop or fixed card damage.

Mantra

Maliwan

A Maliwan shotgun whose fist-shaped projectiles deal melee damage. Its melee-damage identity is the reason to investigate it for a melee-focused setup.

What to check on your drop

Read the current melee-scaling effect and compare a repeatable target with your own melee bonuses. Do not assume that every gun-damage passive applies to a projectile simply because it comes from a shotgun.

Potato Thrower IV

Torgue

A Torgue assault rifle with potato-shaped projectiles. Voraxis is one dedicated source, and the original item guide also lists Rippa Roadbirds as an alternative farm.

What to check on your drop

The alternative source is Rippa Roadbirds at Saw’s Clench Ripper Drill Site, Ruined Sumplands, Carcadia Burn. Compare the route you have unlocked rather than assuming Voraxis is the only place to obtain it.

Principal

Tediore

An Armor Shield whose final segment breaking deploys a Shield Boi that moves to block incoming enemy fire.

What to check on your drop

Check the armor segments and component perks on your drop. Its defining effect triggers when the final segment breaks, so compare that timing with your build’s defensive loop rather than treating it as a gun.

Rainmaker

Ripper

A Ripper sniper that charges into automatic fire and can avoid consuming ammunition. Its special acquisition route is the Platinum-tier Bloomreaper reward chest in UVHM.

What to check on your drop

Distinguish the guaranteed Platinum-tier UVHM chest reward from an ordinary boss kill. This source does not limit that guarantee to the first clear; check the reward tier you actually earned.

Seventh Sense

Jakobs

Hits create floating orbs; reloading sends those orbs toward enemies. The reload is part of the weapon’s damage loop.

What to check on your drop

Compare a sequence of hits followed by reload, not only a single shot. Licensed parts and alternative firing modes can change how a copy handles; record the parts on the roll you keep.

Shammy Kablammy

Tediore

A Tediore pistol that douses targets in Moonshine. Its reload throw creates an Incendiary explosion whose effect depends on the targets you ignited.

What to check on your drop

Test the shooting-and-reload sequence together. Counting only direct pistol shots omits the mechanic highlighted by the official raid announcement.

Sideshow

Tediore

A reload-throw pistol with a juggling interaction: shooting the thrown targets before they fall can return ammunition.

What to check on your drop

Test the reload interaction before comparing it to an ordinary pistol. Its value depends on whether you can use that interaction during the fight, rather than only the item-card damage.

Undershield

Vladof

A Vladof Armor Shield that grants Overshield when an armor segment breaks. Its effect is tied to segment loss rather than a weapon element.

What to check on your drop

Compare segment count, defensive component perks and the current Overshield text. Capacity from a level-50 example is not the capacity of a higher-level drop.

Urchin

Tediore

A Tediore grenade Ordnance item that releases more projectiles when it detonates. The source describes its remote-detonation interaction.

What to check on your drop

Try the detonation interaction in a controlled encounter and read the actual rolled perks. It occupies an Ordnance role, so do not compare its card damage to a continuously firing gun without accounting for cooldown.
